There are moments when I do not fully acknowledge the vastness of God's love and the depths of His majestic ability to understand and provide for my needs. Seeking His comfort, I read from Psalm 139 last night.
Once I got to verse 12, I read it and paused...
I read it again, then closed my eyes and slowly began to feel a warmth wash over me that comes only from receiving His word the way He intended for me at that moment.
His comfort. His peace. His love.
We have all had things done to us that were unfair, unjust and oftentimes, just plain cruel. Being followers of Christ does not exempt us from lifes' difficulties.
We know that in time we will get over whatever the offense was done to us, but at the heights of realizing our pain, we should seek His comfort. Solace is found in His presence and in His word - and I am so incredibly thankful for that.
The darkness that we see and experience in our lives here on earth is not darkness to Him.
And His light can NEVER be extinguished.
